I have become a cliche

I realize it's been a month-ish since I last posted on this blog of mine. I do regret the lapse, and promise to start posting more often, again.

BUT: I do have some exciting news to share. Since my last post, I've managed to (final-fucking-ly!) gain full time employment, as well as a couple solid gigs on the side. What, you ask, are they? To summarize, I have become that time-honored, bohemian cliche: the struggling musician who waits tables during the day/evening.

It's a couple months in advance, but for all of you local friends o' mine, I'll be playing the Lakeside Inn from 9pm to 1am on Saturday, May 23rd--which, coincidentally, is the 30th birthday of my friend Jack, whose hardcore band Thawed Out I just became a member of. And also, on my days off, I do the folky singer-songwriter thing at Potbelly's for 20 bucks an hour, guitar case tips, and free sammiches.

So now you're all caught up. I'll keep everyone interested updated the closer the shows get.
