inudge? you nudge. we all nudge!

Kayla just showed me this really cool website called inudge.net where you can create your own electronic music with the help of their simple, flash-based interface. Check it this simple little loop I just made, and head over their way to try making your own!

Friends and former family

I've started writing a handful of new songs that will eventually become my demo to throw around at shows and on the internets. I dig all the song titles a lot, so my hope is that the four songs on said demo will become big brothers and sisters to a whole album of little sibling songs.

"friends and former family" is/will be the demo/album's/first song's name. Here're my song titles that are demo-bound:

friends and former family

love is an abattoir (for the sacrifice of self)

las personas que no nos quieren

you may not be a cat person but I am afraid of being alone like you

Adam Temple - Somewhere in a Synapse

I just finished writing a new song, here's a video and the lyrics:

If I had the balls, I’d find a way to say this to your face:
You’re my favorite member of the whole entire human race.
It’s 2 a.m., I’m stoned and sitting at my escritoire,
From thoughts of you and spring; I’m hiding behind my guitar.

I wish I could un-smell your hair.
Your smell surrounds me everywhere.
Cause even when you’re not around,
I know exactly where you’re found.

You’re somewhere in a synapse.

I’ve heard it said the less you say, sometimes the more is heard;
When you say nothing, babe, I’m hanging on your every word.
I tried to call before I found you on the internet;
In two dimensions you’re my favorite love I’ve never met.

Would you still be my valentine
If I woke up and couldn’t rhyme?
I hope you don’t find it too scary
If I’m around in February

Somewhere in a synapse…
Somewhere in a synapse…

I Know A Woman With A Two-Hearted Soul

I wrote a new song today, it's called "I Know A Woman With A Two-Hearted Soul"
Here's the youtube and the lyrics:

(edit: just in case the video doesn't load properly, as embedded videos are known to do, just click here to watch it on youtube's own site.)

Now, I know a woman with a two-hearted soul
There’s one that I love and there’s one I can’t know
And she paces her room before she lays in her bed
While she waits for the music to stop in her head
But it doesn’t
She don’t let it

Now, I’ve got my lovers and she’s got hers too
Filling faded old yearbooks of heart-shaped tattoos
But when she looks at me through those eyes big as moons
I can almost forget my old ways and old wounds
And I wonder
Can she?

Now, she told me, honey, the future’s unsure
I said babe, don’t you know what the present is for?
And I try to be brave when she gets up to leave
But I’m never discreet about the hearts up my sleeve
So I ask her
To stay

Now, I know a woman with a two-hearted soul
There’s one that I love and there’s one I can’t know
And I pace round my room before I lay in my bed
While I wait for the music to stop in my head
But it doesn’t
She don’t let it

Your thoughts?

Points, Lines and Polygons

A name has been chosen.

My project with Jeremy shall be known as:

[drum-roll...]

Points, Lines and Polygons

our first jam, which I'm referring to, for now, as "River Song":

...kinda rough, but has potential. What say you?

ZOMGZ, NEW MUSICS!!!!!!!!!!!

Turns out my friend Andrew D. went to film school. And was drunk. Had him use my little digital camera to record a couple jams that Jeremy and I have been playing at the spot for about a week or so...I think they went ok, no?

First one is a Waylon Jennings tune called "Must You Throw Dirt in My Face" in C with me on the 12-string and Jeremy on the Danelectro:

Second one is an original I'm working on in a very rough state where I play in DADF#BE on the Martin and Jeremy jams out on the Danelectro:

Hahaha...I really wish I hadn't broken that string there. Oh well. Well we're trying to come up with a band name...The Peanut Butter Solution? Sneez-It? The Angeldust Zombies?

Any suggestions??
