Ceci n'est pas une pipe
I should be somewhat embarrased to admit that, during a conversation with some artsy friends a couple nights ago, I couldn't remember the name of the surrealist who did that famous painting of a man wearing a bowler hat with his face hidden behind a green apple. Well, today, thanks to google, I now know that the artist's name is René Magritte, and today is--or would have been, rather--his 110th birthday.

we remembered the name! and who exactly are the artsy friends? isnt rene the best name ever?? i know we remembered because i thought to myself 'i should probably know this because it is my namesake.'
Yea I remember remembering the name; just thought it was a cool coincidence that his actual birthday was so soon from that night =]
And most of our friends are artsy, but specifically I'm thinking about Andy, the performance artist. He was on fire that night.
And yes, best name ever ;)
yes he was so funny i wanted it to stop on multiple occasions. he may or may not be responisble for me peeing in my pants a little. i havent laughed that hard in a looong time.
